No offense but you can find lots of weight gain shakes out there with well over 1500cal. then drink two a day or double the serving size (which is what I did) and you got 3000cal. So I was drinking 3000cal (more or less) a day and eating all the time and was not able to gain a pound. I actually did have a full set of tests ran and they said there was nothing wrong with me at all. I thought I had an over active thyroid but I didn't. I was almost hoping I did so atleast I could take some med's and be able to gain weight. Any ways, I'm sure there are others out there in the same boat as I was and no matter what anyone says there are people out there that are not able to gain a pound no matter what.

So certain people are immune to the laws of thermodynamics? This is quite a brreakthrough! We need to alert the appropriate authorities :D

Look bro, you're young and you have a lightning fast metabolism - it is very hard to gain weight in that case but is NOT impossible. It just boils down to whether or not it's worth it to you to make eating your full time job. Maybe it isn't - that doesn't mean you can't train and get strong, then gain mass as your metabolism slows over the years.

But seriously, you CAN gain if you eat enough. Sometimes it takes extremes to get results.

thank you guinness for helping me prove my point!!!! Unlease you have something wrong with your stomach where you get no nutrients and it just runs right out of you you can gain. Try eating 6 meals a day at 1000 calories a meal and i guarantee you will gain wait because the foods got to go somewhere!!

Then you are doing something wrong. 3,000 kcal in liquid is NOT like 3,000kcal in food either.

If you eat 2-3 lbs of red meat a day, every single day, for a year,
If you eat 10 pounds of rice a week, every single week, for a year,
If you drink 1 gallon of milk a day, every day, for a year,

AND
Sleep and train properly...

You WILL gain muscle.

Eat like a horse, train like an animal, sleep like a baby, and grow.

OK, I'll go back and contact my Doc's from 10 years ago and have them get a hold of you guys.

You aren't going to convince me that it can't be done...you will be talking to the wrong person. At 16 I was told that I might die, would never be big, was wasting my time working out, and would never compete at Marial Arts again because of my health problems. I was 6'2" and 152 lbs a the time. 12 years later I'm sitting here after making a come back in Martial Arts and I am currently an IFSA Pro Strongman at 6'2" and 280+.

Go back and seriously think about what your doctor looked like, think about the 1 semester of nutrition that he had in school, think about all he real-life weight training for athletes classes that he didn't have, realize that this ain't easy, and then make the decision for yourself if YOU are willing to pay the dues that it takes to get to where you THINK that you want to be.

I've spent years force-feeding myself to gain weight and I've proven that it can be done.

drinking milk is a big plus...what I do though is take a tall glass of milk which is aorund 300-350 cals depending on the size of the glass and adding a serving of slim fast...which will add like 140 cals...drink one of those which ever meal...it is pretty cheap too...you can get like a 2 weeks can of it for like 5 or 6 bucks...you can also try making a power shake...2 cups milk, 1/2 cup oats, 1 serving slim fast(or protein shake), 2 tspoons of peanut butter...blend...taste like a reeses peanut butter cup if you use chocolate...Plus it is like 700 or 800 cals..

If you disregard all the great advice you've already recieved, do not exceed 5g of creatine a day. Also be sure to drink plenty of water. But to reiterate, YOU DON'T NEED IT!!!
