Check out how fugin sweet my dog is

I don't feel like starting a new dog thread for this...

So anyways, I dropped my dog off at "camp" this morning, she's just staying for the day. It's the same place I'm keeping her while I go on vacation for a week in August, so I'm bringing her once this week and once next to get her used to it. And I keep checking on her via webcam, and my dog is laying alone in the corner as far as possible from all the other dogs and not moving/playing.

Poor scaredy-dog. :(
i need to take mine so she'll lose her socially aggressive/anxiety traits.... she'll be crated and whining and hopefully it will subside.... she hates anything that moves.... dogs, squirrels, cats, etc

Check if there's a Camp Bow Wow by you. That's where I'm taking kfeedz and its awesome. They have large crates they take naps in once a day and sleep in at night but from 7a-7p, they're playing with other dogs their size all day, separated small, medium and large. And each group has an indoor and outdoor play area with agility equipment and stuff.

And they make every dog go through an interview first to make sure they don't accept super aggressive dogs that could harm others.

This morning my dog wouldn't even go near the others. She stayed outside while all the rest played inside, and by the time I picked her up, she still wasn't super playful with them but she was at least hanging out in the same room, after one of the employees brought her into a room for one on one time to ease her into it after realizing she was too scared.

I'm definitely going to take her back a few more times before vacation. At this rate, I'm thinking by the time I get back from vacation, she'll be well socialized and dog-friendly.

Plus there's webcams so you can watch your pup, which makes me feel much better bc I dont trust a lot of these places to leave my dog.

My dog will kick your dog's ass as well.
He's very handsome too. Did you say he was a hybrid? Mack isn't aggressive at all, unless you're a rabbit or a squirrell.

I don't think a dog that is afraid to begin with would really improve in that environment.

have you tried the nothing in life is free aproach? google it.
sometimes dogs are afraid because they sense a lack of authority and it makes them anxious to try and be top dog if they are submissive to start.
I also think there is no need to "socialize" dogs with other dogs. They live with you, you are their pack, not the other dogs they see on the street.
