An Event does not necessarily have to be a fact. A fact can be said to be the Heisenberg principle of Quantum Mechanics, while an event is like the christmas holidays. So nice try there.
Conversely, is the Heisenberg uncertainty principle an event? NO. Therefore, they are NOT synonyms.
