ive got along fine as it is so cant be too serious but id like to know whats causing it?
thanks

You're going to get guys telling you it a brachioradialis strain but I'm inclined to believe it's more like "shin splints" of the arm which usually occurs after a heavy arm session. What happens is #1 Your usually using two much weight on a damn straight bar; #2 When you start the sudden upward lift, the brachioradialis and forearm suddenly contracts with great force causing a corresponding rapid stretch in the attached muscles, stretching the tendons and ligaments. Hurts like hell! I have found the following very helpful:
1. Lighten up the load 5-10 lbs and do more reps;
2. Lose the straight bar. F what people say about the curling bar. USE IT!
3. Do not use full ROM and curl again before you hit full extension. Again, F the people who say that is always important.
4. Ibuprofen 800mg before arm work-outs.
5. For heavy work. Switch to Body Drag Curls.

Brace it and be careful

and yesterday blew out my elbow in the ER for 5 hours

Will not be lifting for 3 months
