Are there any entry-level home based businesses that are worth a shit?

folding envelopes and selling old junk on Ebay.

That scheme has been around for many years. Probably the orginal work at home job. Do you think it actually works? I've heard it's a scam. If so, I wonder how they keep it going after all these years.
The guy that I bought my house from, sold cars on Ebay. Before I moved in, he had several old cars from the front to the back of the property. The neighbors were upset to see him go. I don't know what I could sell on Ebay.

the amount of money in porn is mind-boggling. The protect their investment -- most porn folks try their best to educate the public that porn is a saturated market with very little profits. Keeps the opportunists away. :)

You could sell weed like they did in that movie plus you would have something to do why you were waiting on customers. The other thing is growing hydro I heard it is very lucrative.

What is hydro? I'm not selling weed. I value my freedom.

If you not selling weed, forget it because it a type of weed that is very stong that yields very high price. Matter of fact, they sell it by the gram.

Is the medical billing job really good.. I seem to know several people who do something like that on the side or whereever.. Anyone got any info on it?

medical billing sounds like a fancy cute little word -- but the details of it are VERY complex and involved. Yes there's software now out there that automates many parts of it -- but there's still training, insurance, software costs, computer costs, learning curve, previous experience, etc. involved.

Best bet is to HIRE people experienced in it and find places that have a NEED for help in medical billing. I'll you this much, most big and small cities sure don't have that need. They're saturated with it. But i'm sure there's rural towns, alaska, new clinics, etc. that could use quick temporary medical billers to help them. Approach any new venture with 1) What do i know so far about it? 2) Waht experience do I have? 3) What do *I* bring to the table and 4) If i don't have what it takes -- can i HIRE people who do have that experience???

Henry Ford never knew how to build or fix a car. But he hired tons of intelligent able-bodied men who did. He used them to make billions.

Medical billing involves becoming a middle man between the HMO and the doctor. Since docs take a long time to get paid from the HMO what you do is act as a go-between (i think) in order to get the doc paid faster per work performed. Its just like anything else where you have to start from nothing and build a client base (docs).
