Alright fellas....starting CKD tomorrow.

There is a ratio for the amount of carbs to eat on CKD.

Did anyone doing a CKD actually read the manual ?

I did read that, and the more I think about it, I don't think I am going to take in post workout carbs...just to be on the safe side.

Poyeboy.....how you checking if you are in ketosis? you using stix regularly?

Hey Nature Boy,

No I swear it's me! Aren't I hot!!! You should try the blueberry pie thing!! It's really good for your skin!

Thanks for the infor everyone! It is really appreciated. But, one question was left un-answered. What do you eat on the carb up days? I am planning on posting to the womens board soon. Thanks again.

normally girls that big aren't my type. But since you probably taste like blueberrys I'll give you a shot.

BTW the c-k-d.com site has a lot of good info.

See if I can get some more info from you fellas......

On CKD do you follow the recommeded workouts or use your typical W/O. I'd like to stick to my one body part/day split.

Depletion workout: Is it really necessary to get results?

Post workout carbs: I am still seeing conflicting info from various sites....I'm thinking about waiting till I am in ketosis first than try PW carbs and see if it kicks me out.

I didn't know they recommend workouts as well. Can you tell us what they recommend? When I was on the Adkins, I just did my regular workout. Seemed to work just fine.

As for post workout carbs, unless I'm mistaken (highly doubtful), they spike your insulin just like any other carb. The reason for post workout carbs is because that's when your body is most able to utilize them, but the insulin spike remains.

They recommend a 2 day split following your carb up day...upper/lower so you have glycogen for your workout...then a depletion on carb day.

Yeah, I was thinking of the spike controlling the catabolic effect.

I am doing good with carbs pw, but I am going to stop this so maybe I will do awesome, because I am awesome, and you not

supposedly the depletion workout primes your body even more for your carb day(s). it's not suppsed to be muscle building workout, more of a glucose burning one.
