Why would they need to hit parallel or whatever "ass to grass" BB message board phrase is trendy nowadays? Their judges only judge their physique, not their lifts. Full ROMs are often unnecessary for many goals (for both BBers and PLers).
whatever you say Bob....I'm 6ft 260 and have been lifting for 17 years, I actually should squat alot more than 495. But 495 it is and I could really care the fuck less whether you beleive it or not. My orginal point, god how long was that , was that dudes came up to me asking about the shoes after seeing me squat that. It never even occurred to me that I was "making a claim" or boasting cause it ain't no weight in my land. For you, yes it is cause you're a pa pa pa pooooosssssiiiieeee!
You know what I'm going to squat next week? Nothin, gonna do straight up air squats next week followed by pushups followed by pulldowns followed by some other torturous crossfit regimen that's going to leave curled in a ball and wanting to puke. Point is I'm surely not going to interrupt my program to redo a lift I did the week prior simply for an experiment in male posturing bravado and ego. You can accuse me of squatting no more than 2 plates, it simply means nothing coming from someone I know probably does only squat 2 plates.
Here's an ideo for your next 2 plate explosion. Set your timer for 20 seconds, squat 2 plates as many times as you can and then rest 10 seconds. Squat again as many times as you can for 20 seconds rest 10. See how many rounds of that you can do bob.
