Flat bench decreasing

Last week Thursday I hit 5 sets of 315 5 reps 5,5, 5 and 4. I get under 315 again this last Thursday and I struggle to get 3 reps my first set.. Damn that shit gets me so discouraged! I think what may have attributed to it is working extra hours this week and in return also affecting my eating habits. Does this happen to u guys as well ? The day before I dead lifted 5 sets of 315 for 8 reps a set. I had a killer back day that day. Maybe that was it. Maybe I was just cashed. Any feed back is welcomed

Could be a number of things. Diet, sleep, overtraining, not fully recovered, not focused, fatigued, carb depleted, not fully alert, etc....

See how it goes next workout. Don't over think it. Everyone is going to have a bad day in the gym sometimes
