It's fine. BUT... just cos you wanna diet doesn't mean the kids have to. How about you just teach them good habits

they can fast but no longer than 24 hours max.
if your kids are obese then you need to fix what you are feeding them, not depend on fasting as a weight loss tool cause it isn't. i turn down clients who come to me cause they want to lose weight fasting, if that is your goal then you are severely misled. the benefits of fasting are 1% fat loss, and 99% other things
if a child has stomach issues they can greatly benefit from time restricted eating, but they gotta eat low FODMAP and healthy foods in that window or you are also wasting your time
