its hard to find bumper stickers that aren't pro 'whatever the hell conservatives stand for'.


in case anyone gets the wrong idea, i don't hate religion in and of itself. I'd prefer to think of myself as more cultured than that.

I dislike the easiness of manipulation that religion entails (ie, our king is appointed by god, so even though he seems corrupt & evil, god chose him and to rebel will earn you a ticket to hell) and the fact that religion prevented science from gaining a foothold on mankind's destiny for thousands of years.

Like i said, even though i come across as an anti-religious bigot, i don't feel i am. i dislike the fact that religion is a manmade invention passed off as god's work, giving the rich & powerful yet another tool to fuck the masses over.

"I raped your whore wife"

shit like that. imagine driving around with that on your car. oh boy, i would be curious to see how people would react

it is probably more about the war between scientific discovery & religious theology. the darwin thing represents evolution vs creationism. I don't know why they didn't do a scopes monkey emblem.

I was noting, for example, the Jesus fish sticker with "DARWIN" inside it, and the phrase "Religion is Bunk" besuide it. Since Darwin was religious, I wondered if this might be a misleading juztaposition.
