Who here actually like large family gatherings?

I love to see the family at family gatherings. So I can laugh at all the weight people have put on in all the wrong places.......lol

I'm not a big fan of them. I just go for the kids and pretend I'm sleeping the entire time.

I have big families and we're close so normally it's something I love. This year I was not really up for it though. People could tell. I got the impression my parents warned people to back off with me this year because nobody grilled me with personal questions the way they usually do.

Me I can't stand them relatives you only see on the holidays drives me nuts.

I do however love small family stuff with my mom, stepfather, brothers and sister in law that is nice relaxing.

I can't stand them either I just go for my grandparents sake. Since I didn't make it to christmas dinner this year, I haven't seen my cousins since last christmas, and I only live 10mi from them.

We don't have enough people left in the family to do anything near a "large family gathering". My parents are now snow birds part of the year, one brother has young kids, the other has hyper dogs. So our small family gatherings get even smaller these days.

They get pretty good when the wine starts flowing tho!

I've never had a large family so I really can't relate....and what family I did have never really got along well.....

I've got friends - Damn Good Friends - and they are more family to me than "family."

I may sound crazy but I actually like my family......but I get along with everyone! I'm the prime entertainer.
