The dumbells at my gym go up to 150lbs. These, of course, are suitable for most purposes, but when it comes to doing alternating bent-over rows with dumbells, the 150's just dont cut it for me. I was doing bent-over rows with dumbells last night and, after 12 reps, I was convinced that I could do 160lb, maybe 170, if I had them.
Should I ask the manager to get heavier dumbells? I have a feeling that I'll be the only one using them because I never see anyone at my gym doing bent-over rows with even 100lb dumbells, let alone 150. This sux!
