What are your thoughts on cancer and how it is spreading.

I thought (and maybe I am expressing this incorrectly) that our predisposition is the greatest factor as to IF and what type of cancer we get. The scientist can correct me, please, if I am incorrect in what I have been led to believe (I'm not anywhere NEAR a scientist or doctor LOL). I thought that cancer is a mutation, a gene that mutated by MISTAKE. So evenutally if you have *that gene* it will mess up and replicate - and you have it: cancer.

Not saying that we should all smoke, work with asbestos, have sex with multiple partners unprotected, and eat all the junk that we possibly can. But what I am saying is that it seems to me that there is more "hysteria" over things that we need not necessarily stress ourselves over.

There are many simple things that we can do to increase the quality of the life we have. I, personally am a HYUGE proponent of this school of thought.

EVERYONE IS GOING TO DIE EVENTUALLY. I believe that we should try to FEEL as good for as long as we can.

We can eat a balanced diet. Drink a lot of water. Supplement our diets with certain essential nutrients. Be as active as we can. Have downtime and rest our bodies and our minds.

That is 100% correct however BM, I have 2 friends right now that have members of there immediate family diganosed with cancer and no one in there family tree has ever had it.. It just makes you wonder.. I like you have always thought the same thing about it being hereditary..

EXACTLY. I believe it's mostly due to the fastfood industry. Not thast fastfood in general Will cause cancer but it definately plays a tremendous part in the obesity problem in this country.
Colon and rectal cancer are definately due to obesity IMO.
Ask this guy...

YouTube - Dr. James Chappell Discusses Dual Action Cleanse - Part 1

Maybe yes, maybe no... several woman in my family on my mother's side died of colo-rectal cancer. They also had the same GI issues I had. Neither of them were obese. Some smoked, others didn't. They all lived on the farm drinking water from the well and eating the livestock and produce that they raised themselves for the most part. Even when my parents moved to this country EVERYTHING was made fresh - no fast food.

When I presented with the severe GI issues all the doctors were mystified. I had VERY low bf, was VERY active, didn't drink, didn't smoke, no drugs and I ate VERY CLEAN - no processed anything....

:whatever:

People are also living longer, and the longer you live, the greater the chances of getting cancer.

It is thought to be related to the caps on your chromosomes called telomeres, our cells only divide so many times then they die, either through planned cell death (apoptosis), or if they just die and spill out, it does create an immune response, or they lose their cell cycle control.

True. I agree with the smoking issue too. But I think in general there are so many facters in our lives now that contribute to the problem.
Public water, sodas, fastfood, smoking, obesity, pharmaceutical industry, even performing cuninglingus. It can cause Esophageal cancer.
