I started bodybuilding at a time when doctors where stating that AAS could not increase muscle mass. Haters called bodybuilders gay. Arnold was just arriving on scene Venice Beach. In the 1980's, housewives started putting his poster on their refridgerators. 2 Ciba dbols (10 mg) a day was common and considered resonable dose.

Bodybuilding is a sport, a hobby and a lifestyle. I am into it as a hobby and a lifstyle so massive amounts of AAS and other perfromance enhancing drugs are simply not part of my life. You can take bodybuilding too far. I bodybuild to improve my life. It is not my life. If it becomes an obsession or a burden, then you might need to re-balance you life. I agree 100% with Nelson, it should not be a burden.

People are often jealous and too lazy to make a change for the better so instead, they try to bring those down around them so they feel better about their loser selves. Take their negative energy and accept it as a gift that you can use to your advantage in the gym.

Same here...i opened my first muscle mag where Joe Weider was introducing Arnold to the Bodybuilding world.

Man! thats been a long time ago.

anyway i fit right in with the crowd with a pillow tucked under my shirt!

My story is ... I am 37 and kept getting hit on by a little hot 19yr old with fake titties at the pool and she was doing it right in front of my wife !! All the guys would just drool over her and so did the girls that were at the pool ....so needless to say my wife wasnt happy at all but made me feel awesome thinking this old man could slide his slong in a tight little 19yr old girl. HaHa she wouldnt know what hit her by the time my experienced ass was done with her plus being on 750mg of test!!! well anyways my wife was like enough of this shit what do you have that can make me thin and fit ( she was always against aas but tolerated it cause of me ) .... being how she was 185 I started with diet and not eating after 6pm and have her on the treadmill walking 4 miles a day 5 days a week and put her on anavar and now she is 125 looking great ... she made a change and not only feels better but looks great and is a true believer in aas usage but not abusive !!! Its funny cause when she started seeing results she wanted to b on that treadmill everyday ..... its amazing what it takes to motivate someone considering I have been begging her for years to workout and eat right !!!

Thats awesome! Youll hear people say its cheating but really its not, shes putting in all the work. I think a little boost is ok, especially when AAS are done safely they are pretty much the same as a supplement.
 
well guys, it's a shortcut for sure, and of course guys who are natural and wokr harder deserve more credit buuuuut I will not have anyone say I didn't work for it , although im on steroids,, i still hit the gym 6 times a week annd eat boring food, do not make it seem like it's easy
 
people are jealous when someone else has the discipline to achieve things that they dont. Ive gotten alot of that from some people around me. I just look at what they look like & grin to myself.

I think the term jealous is a bit strong and conveys the wrong impression. I think seeing some one in great shape is just a harsh reminder of what kind of potential people have and how far some people are from that potential.

Unless someone is ready to make a change themselves and around fit people for the inspiration, acknowledging someone elses level of fitness can be a bitter pill to swallow.

I beleive that most of the time lack of compliments has nothing to do with the fit person at all, its more due to the fact that their appearance/strength/stamina or what have you IS appreciated but by voicing it people bring their own shortcomings to light.
