I started bodybuilding at a time when doctors where stating that AAS could not increase muscle mass. Haters called bodybuilders gay. Arnold was just arriving on scene Venice Beach. In the 1980's, housewives started putting his poster on their refridgerators. 2 Ciba dbols (10 mg) a day was common and considered resonable dose.
Bodybuilding is a sport, a hobby and a lifestyle. I am into it as a hobby and a lifstyle so massive amounts of AAS and other perfromance enhancing drugs are simply not part of my life. You can take bodybuilding too far. I bodybuild to improve my life. It is not my life. If it becomes an obsession or a burden, then you might need to re-balance you life. I agree 100% with Nelson, it should not be a burden.
People are often jealous and too lazy to make a change for the better so instead, they try to bring those down around them so they feel better about their loser selves. Take their negative energy and accept it as a gift that you can use to your advantage in the gym.

Same here...i opened my first muscle mag where Joe Weider was introducing Arnold to the Bodybuilding world.
Man! thats been a long time ago.
anyway i fit right in with the crowd with a pillow tucked under my shirt!
