I was attacked when I first joined EF, not only by the men but also the women. It's pretty funny actually! It's like a territorial thing.
I think this is just C & C though, in other forums such as women's fitness, there is no drama in there.
I also think some women are degraded b/c they come on here and talk like truck drivers and degrade themselves.
It's like the old adage where a women is raped and she is asked in court what she was wearing and was she acting slutty. It's not her fault, but she made it more tempting to the men. Not saying it's right, but it's reality! Men treat women the way the women treat themselves....in some cases! Other guys are just immature and talk stupid!

Ok here is where i have a problem, EQUAL... remember.... Its ok for me to walk into the break room and be subjected to Playboy magazines, or walk into a superviser office and have this plastered all over the wall... but yet not ok for me to tell 'X' to fuck off when he hits on me and asks to see my tits. Apparently you don't work in a male dominated industry... or else you would have a diffent opinion as to how a woman responds in situations.

If you tuck your head and walk away then it will happen over and over, If you stand up for yourself then (in most cases) they will leave you the hell alone.

There's nothing to learn. There is a difference in the sexes, people flame each other on here, some people are more sensitive than others, and there are some people here that have different ideas of how to enjoy time with members of the opposite sex. Big fucking deal. Oddly, the ones that do the most whining about it are supposedly the "strongest" too. It's nothing new. It's a matter of disrespectful people in general, nothing based on gender. That's just a cop out.

Well in fact I work at a company that is 95% male. I am the ONLY woman in my dept (200 men).
In fact, I am the woman at this company of 1500 employees (my division is all men) that filed suit against my company for harassment. Because of my efforts they implemented (for the first time ever) a harassment policy and hired a full time lawyer in HR to make sure it's followed.
The men who were brutal to me, were suspended and some quit.
Seeing them feel the same humiliation I did by looking like fools with their suspensions was much more gratifying than telling them to F off!
So, I am not clueless to how women are treated.
I just handle it differently. I would never tell any co-worker to F off if he hit on me. I have been told "I hired you for your looks not your brains" "Hey honey give me a blow job" etc....I work with shop guys so you can imagine what else I was told.
I fought back the legal way and won. I also don't talk derogatory to my co-workers.
Many women have been treated poorly, some just defend themselves in different ways.
Getting a point across with vulgarity does not earn respect


oh and P.s...I am not clerical, I have a higher position that most of the men I work with.

Frisky (aptly named), I just said I was flamed by EF women in my posts. I don't think they were sexist just because they happen to be the opposite sex. They were just having a little fun at my expense. No big deal, we all do it. If you want to invite people just warn them that there is a little humorous banter back and forth. Tell them just to go with it.

I dealt with it for years, and it got to a pt where I had to stand up for myself BECAUSE, i didn't have any backing. Obviously neither of you work in an oil field related business.

Now for ONE jnevin, where did I say I made an input to HR about playboy? NOT ONE DAMN TIME... YES I could have, but I didn't. Then, I've never posted full nude shots for my ava... ever. If you would see how I dress daily to go to work you would be in shock, I wear beat up jeans and basic t's sometimes a jacket when in the office. I am covered to the T, I don't request or ask for this bullshit and I took it for 6 years until one dipshit couldn't take the fact that I turned him down and began to stalk me. I sit in my office about 70% of the day, the other 30% I am either running around doing measurments or IT work. I don't have the time nor the desire to fuck with any of these morons. The ONLY person I've ever raised my voice to and spoke vulgar to was that person in particular because it seemed the company wasn't standing up to him and I wasn't letting anyone belittle or degrade me.

I am BY FAR PERFECT, but because I have tits does that give anyone the right to think they can touch them?

I handled the situation with absolute calmness for 4 years, and nothing was ever done about it. I brushed it off, and contiunued on with my job... Never looking back. I don't care if you have naked pics in your office, why should I?

AS smart as some of you claim to be, a simple grasp of what I am saying is completely going over your heads.

Its damn DAMN hard to insult me (unless it deals with my kids) But I won't now or EVER deal with a man stalking me over and over again. I don't give a damn how i dress or what the fuck I post on EF.

So basically what you are saying J is that a girl that works in a strip clup deserves to be raped or violated because she asked for it due to her job and her work attire. I'm sorry ...... sweets... read up a few threads about how maybe I deserved that treatment due to the fact that I post here on C&C... post my training pics on EF, and because I don't and won't ever now or ever in the future bite my tongue when I have an opinion.... that is why I came back with that comment. We don't live in the wild west anymore, and women will speak up... some people just can't take it.

No woman, no matter how she behaves deserves to be harmed or mistreated. If this planet only consisted of women, this would not be an issue, but men see stripper as whore (even though most of them are not), and women like Paris Hilton's as whores. She may or may not be, but she portrays herself in this light. We (as women) have to care about how we portray ourselves if we want to get respect......sad, but it's true!

I'm in the Valve biz so it's close...I think when men are together in numbers (like male dominated work places and places like EF) they act more inappropriate than usual. It's a power in #'s thing!
My HR did not do it's job for 5 yrs so I went higher. To the governement...guess what, my co HAD to listen.
I guess all I am saying is...as women we need to have an alternate way to get our point across proving our rights are as equal to men.

I'm quite a sweetie, but its easy to put a lable here and there. I can of course be a hard ass and a bitch, but mostly I am the kindest person you could ever meet... a few can testify this to you.

I am however very much a person that will stand up, no matter whom I am standing up to. If I have a belief in A and you in B I will debate it with you... never hard feelings though. I've had the privilege of talking to a few members, and also meeting a few members... and I trust in the fact that they would not say other than I am really not a bitch and hard to get along with.

oh please... I posted my training pics, something I will now and forever be damn proud of. I don't have these pics plastered on the walls of my office. I post them on a damn training site because I want critique, not freaking people to stalk me.

Why do I stay here? Well lemme tell you.... I have two kids, whom rely on me to provide FOOD, CLOTHES, A HOME, TRANSPORTATION, need I go on? I am not and have not said I was a victim... (per say) but that things here are fucked up (yea... there is my potty mouth... )
