that because the body builders of today look fucken ridicolous imo.. have you ever looked thru some of those mags they have the cheaziest photos.. i saw a series of shots with jay cutler and gunter working out.. they looked like two fags in there poses they were standing over eachother with these dumb looks on there face.. theres no class in bodybuilding.. when shawenzagger was big it seemed to have more class.. the physiques looked like works of art not genetic mutations.. people were startled by the size of the oldtimers, the new guys just look like cartoon characters that will never appeal to the mainstream it might to us well not really to me id rather look like the old school bodybuilders..

The mainstream does find the mass monster physique unattractive and rightfully so. That look is so far removed from what nature intended as to be ridiculous. Look at the "roid gut" for god's sake! To me Frank Zane still represents the ultimate ideal. If the sport doesn't get more in line with mainstream aesthetique it's gonna be an ever smaller and wierder footnote in the history of sports. Even the advertising money will go away over time i think.

Not gonna lie, I really do believe that since Raw Deal you won't be seeing any BB competitions or anything on espn for a long time. If ever again. I also think that the bloated gut syndrome is killing the sport and this idea of the biggest body builder is the best now just blows my mind. Lee Priest and Shawn Ray are 2 examples of guys with amazing physiques that could never win cuz of their heights. Bodybuilding should be for best looking body not the biggest. Coleman had some bloated gut wins that I don't think he should've won. Because thats a key area of looking amazing. (While I love Ronnie and think he's amazing anyways) it just sucks to see some pictures and be like that guy looks better but he's smaller.

I agree with the aspect on womens bbing and what its becoming. The "fitness" shows are taking over and pretty soon its gonna be "i want to look like that girl shes so lean, etc." and they go out and buy buckets of fat burners the person gets paid to advertise.
