xanax is less likely to be abused, and dosages dont have to be increased to have desired effects..valium seems to wear thin on a regular basis...it can be used 3x a week and still be managable...xanax is a better choice IMO, and easier to stop....
IMO I would stay away from the SSRI's. I was on Paxil for 6 years and while it may have helped me at first, it got to the point where I was taking it only because I couldn't go without it without going nutz. Haven't tried any of the other SSRI's tho.
I have used both many times and xanax is definitely the winner in my book. Its like a warm blanket on a really cold day. It chills me out like no other.But it can be addictive if abused,so be careful when jumping on the benzowagon. All it takes is popping an extra one here and there and back here again then you end up buying them because your script isn't ready to be filled yet, and your little blue friends are dissapearing in your bottle so fast, it can get crazy
