Ten Reasons to Workout early in the AM

Scotsman said:
I don't know if it's still bad memories from morning workouts for football but I just can't get motivated in the mornings. Right now I train around 3pm most days and the gym is pretty empty except for the housewives and most of them don't go near a squat rack.LOL

Cheers,
Scotsman

Yeah, I remember those early football workouts, but the worst was the two-a-days in August. It seems like the time between practices was nothing.

Afternoon workouts are cool, it just seems like so many reasons pop up to interfere, plus I am used to the morning routine from being in the military.

i give you props man because most people including me are lazy when they wake up. it takes a lot of motivation to get up early and go to the gym. especially if you aren't taking in any caffeine. Franco Columbu worked out every mourning and he said the best energy comes from your own body. Keep on keeping on man!

Where else can workout energy come from?

I also work out in the AM

I remodded my basement into a home gym so I dont have to drive

its nice

I am sitting here at work right now smug about the fact that I've already worked out for an hour and I can do whatever I want on my lunch break and my evenings are for relaxing.

Its hard for the first two weeks but after that it becomes a habit you just cant break. Like showering or brushing your teeth.

That's a good feeling, as long as you don't blow it by having two double cheeseburgers :)

Yep two a days were always great when it topped 100 outside.

I can do cardio in the am but can't lift for shit early in the day. Just not a morning person I guess.

I usually workout sometime between 1am and 5am. Pretty weird hours, but I really enjoy having a gym to myself and really concentrating on what I'm doing. It's 3:15 am now and I've just come back from the gym.
