Obviously, I'm not one who really gives a shit about karma. I've always given mine away or spent it defusing bombs etc.

That said, I STILL had a lot of fun with the whole karma game. I understand the need to put a cap on the exponentially increasing totals but they sure picked the most perplexing way to do it.

i guess they didn't wanna spend $8 on software to handle big numbers. EF2K.

They already buttfuck each other and do all kind of crazy stuff, so going on a steroid board isnt that bad, plus if he's Plat he could use the stealth link.

Stealth link still shows EliteFitness in the page titles.

Well, I've disabled all of the icons relating to Karma. I can't give K unless I fiddle about with my browser's init-file and I can't see dots or crowns anymore. Once I'd gotten going I also disabled ads and glowing stars and the "Platinum" icon so I can't even tell whether someone is Plat. In my browser window, everyone is now non-Plat and I can only spot mods from their user title.

I've also shut down my Karma window and my PM box is over by about 200 PMs so all extraneous gubbins are gone. EF is now just a plain old chatboard. Very retro.

I'm sorry but how can one or two people's bitching about how it was being done the old way, cause someone to take such a narrow-mided approach and run with just their opinion without at least considering the whole group????

Perk, I just saw your K-message. To be honest, I'd pretty much given up waiting. I think I've made it clear that it's never been a post I've coveted merely one that I've been prepared to accept for the common good of those in the Weights forum. If I've been deemed unacceptable it's almost a relief. I hope the other two are still considered worthwhile candidates for modship. It was my impression, though, that you had no part in the mod-choosing process. Thanks for the info, anyway.
