Remeber at 43 you are going to have to be consistant...age can hinder the rate of progress I think. I just have to remain consistant :qt:
 
thanks for all of the great advice and support! My mind is made up for the first time in a long time - I am very determined - and it's not just about going to the show - it's about finally cleaning up my diet and being consistent in the gym - thanks again everyone!

True, as we age our rate of recovery is slower and our propensity for injury is higher HOWEVER, the good news (for women anyway LOL) is that as our estrogen levels drop (normal part of aging) our ability to build and maintain lean mass INCREASES!

There is also muscle maturity, and being more comfortable in your own skin, and a greater sense of self and confidence, all which communicate :)
