Roonytunes 2006

Hiya ladies! :wavey: Today was a rough day.... after this morning’s cardio, I realized my shins are super sore from sprinting and yesterday's stair climb and that my body is rather achy overall. I've been very unproductive all day as a result. I've taken some Ibuprofen, skipped my evening class and cancelled my upper body workout with my trainer this evening. I think my body just needs a break!

Mon, 3/27

Scale weight: 118.5lbs

7am: Cardio
15 mins Elliptical in cross-trainer mode
Plyometric circuit:
4 sets of 10 Bosu Squats, 5 walking lunges, 15 Squat Jumps, 10 regular push-ups, 10 diamond pushups, 15 jumping jacks and 4 continuous stretches of 50 feet sprints with short rest in between each set (phew!)
20 mins Elliptical in cross-trainer mode


9am:
4 oz broiled tilapia (seasoned with paprika, lemon juice and cayenne pepper)
10 stalks cooked asparagus
1 slice toasted Ezeikal bread
1 tangerine

12:15pm:
½ cup oats
½ cup egg whites
1 apple

2:30pm:
3 oz marinated chicken breast
grilled veggies: broccoli rabe, mushrooms, onions, hot peppers

4:45pm:
1 tuna muffin
grilled veggies: broccoli rabe, eggplant, tomatoes, onions, hot peppers

6:45pm:
2 home-made protein bars – so yummy! :chomp:

9:15pm:
1 scoop ON whey mixed with water
1 tbsp almond butter

Totals: ~1290 cals (128g carbs, 139g protein, 31g carbs)
Macros: ~38c/41/p/21f

I’ve been lying in bed all evening. I hope to feel better by tomorrow and catch up with everyone then! :friends:

I hope you get some much needed rest Rooney and get to feeling better soon!!

The extra rest should allow your body to catch up and recover. :heart:

Thanks IP! I am feeling a tad better today and may venture back to the gym tonight for some upper body work.

Do not underestimate the power of stretching after HIIT stair climbing unless you want to be hobbling around like I am right now.

Tues, 3/28

I started the day with some leftover leg and back soreness, but unfortunately, I developed a fever and chills mid-afternoon and ended up leaving work early. I also feel slightly nauseous. I called my doctor’s office and they can’t say the symptoms are related for sure. I could be hit by a separate virus unrelated to overtraining. Anyway, I have been in bed since 4pm and am on pain killers and muscle relaxers for now. :worried:

Obviously, I haven’t made it to the gym and am thanking my good sense for not pushing myself in there last night or this morning (I woke up like clockwork at 5:45 am for morning cardio :verygood: ). For now, I just plan to keep my eating clean and may just take a break from training for a few days! :bawling:

Noon:

Grilled veggies:spinach, eggplant, tomatoes, onions, hot peppers
I wanted to :sick: after this meal.

6:35pm:
2 home-made protein bars

9:30pm:
1 scoop ON whey mixed with water
1 home-made protein bar (this is the only thing I can find somewhat appetizing right now to put down)

Totals: ~1230 cals (127g carbs, 129g protein, 28g fat)
Macros: 40c/40p/20f

My daughter was feverish and chucking yesterday, but is fine today. Hopefully, you just have the same little bug and you'll be good tomorrow! Feel better, Rooney! :kiss:
 
I hope that you are feeling better, Rooney! Sounds like you really need to rest up! Don't even think of hitting the gym and

STRETCH! ;)
