well you have made incredible progress just in the last month, that is evident watching the bench. The deads need to go to the floor for a while, then work back to the position you are at week by week. Also drop the rack lockouts down, when you missed 275 you missed it right as your triceps took over, that is where you need to train the shit out of them. Keep it up and take a second to reflect at how far you have come recently, it is a big deal and you should be aware of it. Also LOSE THE LIFTING STRAPS....lol

I actualyl did what you told me, and dropped the racks about 4 inches off my chest. The only problem was that I couldn't even bulge 225 from the static position. WIth bench you have the acceleration, but my triceps are so weak at that point! So I wanted to feed me ego, i think ill use board presses to go through that sticking point.

Btw tomorrow I just want to change things up and instead of rack's do 20 rep deadlift, after that Ill have one more week and then deload, and then maxout.

I sincerely appreciate everything, I can't tell you how much I am grateful for all the advice. Its one thing to read something in an article, and another to have an actual experienced person tell you exactly what to do.

Thursday June 19 - Small Deviation from IL program

Deadlift: 335 x 18!!!

Shrugs: 315 x 14, 315 x 12

Upright Row SS Raises: 95 x 10 ss 20 ss

BentOver Press: 60 x 2 sets x 10 reps

My friend's 365 x 25 deadlift:

My camera can only take videos in 30 second intervals. I took two videos, but 2nd video was of his last rep since it takes about 10 seconds for the camera to write the clip to the memory card. So don't pay attention to the count. He did 25 not 20.

Is that meant to be a bent press?

If so, I was under the assumption you started with your body straight-on and then pressed the weight above you as you bend from the hips and then return to the starting position, as opposed to bending at the hips first and simply pressing away?

thanks Z,

btw, you better get 405 when you deadlift, or else you'll be weak in my eyes forever
