Protein and Fat only: How long until Ketosis is obtained?

Im cheap. I dont want to spend the money for the damn ketone stix....

I have eaten protein and fat only for the past 3 days......my body temp is down to 96.7.....from 97.8

am I in Ketosis?

Don't sweat it, you don't need ketostix. I have done this diet so many times, and the results are the same. I could also tell you the problems with ketostix, but this is not the forum.

Anyways, yes, 3 days is enough. You should be in ketosis. Just make sure to lift heavy those first 2 days in. The reason is the amount of bodyfat you burn is inversely proportional to the carbs in your muscles. If you have fully glycogenated muscle, your body senses that it should burn carbs first.

Just be aware of hidden carbs. Most foods have hidden carbs in them somewhere. Even heavy whipping cream has carbs, it just doesn't say so on the label.

If you want to blast in to ketosis fast, use vanadyl sulfate at 45 mg a day and chromium at 1000mcg. I swear, when I used to do that I got in to ketosis in less than a day. You could also use insulin, but I am too scared to fuck with that.
