Prez Signs Bill for New Steroid Law

Rick Collins

Author/Lawyer
Platinum
Hey, friends! Sorry for my long absence, but work has exponentially increased. For anybody who hasn't heard already, the President has signed a bill to re-define many prohormones (and pro-steroids) to be illegal anabolic steroids. Scheduled to take effect in late January 2005, the new law will place these products into the same classification as barbiturates and narcotic painkillers and will authorize individuals who possess them to be arrested and prosecuted as federal drug criminals. Possessing a single andro or other prohormone tablet will be a federal crime punishable by up to a year in jail, even if you bought the product prior to the change in the law, and distributing will be a felony punishable by up to five years in prison for a first offense.

Best to all at EF!!!

How many young people are going to risk jail time for PH's when they can risk it for real AAS...? A very sad state of affairs indeed.... :(

Off topic. Mr. Collins, I must say that your sig. has me at the edge of my seat! I am indeed going to get your book!

It's an excellent written book. It would make a great coffee table book if the only people who came over to your house were bros. Very entertaining. How can you have shows like Extreme Makeover cutting into people but anabolic steroids for cosmetic (or even performance) reasons is illegal? The book is very thought provoking, much more helpful (to say the least) than every simpleton's argument comparing drugs to cigarettes and alcohol, blah blah blah. Already in Chicago, the mayor has embraced the Chicago Police Dept's suggestion to fine instead of arrest people caught in possession of marijuana. All it takes is someone smart, articulate, and, most of all, credible to make the case. Maybe, thanks to "Legal Muscle," someday anabolic steroids will no longer be illegal.

I'm quite looking forward to getting it!

Very true! Interesting information about the Mayor of Chicago. I had no idea that someone in a position of power could be so forward thinking, lol. :)

It wasn't his idea. It was a cop who made the case very effectively and persuasively and it made the newspapers. It was music to the mayor's ears, $$$$
