Possible to get off Thyroid meds?

Nelson, do you use Armour? Or Sythroid/Cytomel combo?

What does T2 do?

So those (like me) that use Synthroid/Cytomel have LOW levels (or nonexistent) of T2?

I use Armour. I have a form of hypothyroidism called Hashimotos disease where my body doesn't convert T4 into T3 efficiently so I'd wind up needing massive does of synthroid. But instead of going on Cytomel, (pure T3) which is harsh and shuts down natural production altogether, the Armour has a little of each of the hormones in a natural blend and that seems to work best.

T2 is essentially a regulator of the other hormones and responsible in part for using fat for fuel.

An incidentally, ZIP http://proteinfactory.com/shop/product.php?productid=108&cat=0&page=1 is the only supplement which contains some natural desicatted thyroid. The same as in Armor thyroid.

Does this mean that by ME using Synthroid/Cytomel combo, I am NOT getting any T2? And my T2 levels are shit low???

Smokescreen, when I sad that I felt bad, I meant that for some reason I ached all over. It started getting so bad, I stopped training. I was also tired. I had to keep caffeine tabs around all the time. I felt better before I was diagnosed! The endocrinologist that I went to was an asshole and said that living with hypothyroidism is simple, all you have to do is take your Synthroid! What a fucking joke. I didn't even get a follow-up appointment on the way out the door because I knew that I wouldn't be back. I wad already scouting out a Armour Thyroid advocate. I took myself off of Synthroid before my first appointment was even made. (Sorry I rambled on and on, but it was a very frustrating time for me.)

That ache was probably fibromylagia. I know how that feels like. But now that I'm on Syntroid and Cytomel, I don't have that problem. And I'm not tired at all.

No, it wasn't fibromyalgia. I think that's a psychological disorder. Synthroid has gotten a bad rap from Day One. It was even rejected from FDA approval at least one time.
