Options for sports cars. Mustang? BMW? Other choices?

I notice most American cars take a beating when it comes to resell. You will often find the upper level F bodys and Mustangs that came off two year leases for a nice price. I saw a 99 Cobra with 13K on it for $20K at a Pontiac dealership last week. He had a couple of ragtop Fbodys (Z28,Forumlas) for a little more. None of these cars had over 20K in miles. Since the inital prices on these cars are so high the more mature drivers have a tendency to buy them. Alot of them still look like new on the inside and never been smoked in.

This is in part due to the way vehicles were leased in the past. Cars were leased for inexpensively that cars were coming back used, too expensive. You could literally buy a or lease a new vehicle for similar monthly payments on a new vehicle compared to a used due to the interest.

Also, American-made sports cars are made for one thing, and generally used that way--to drive hard in! People know that when they buy a Mustang, Firebird, Trans-Am, Camaro, or any other similar vehicle, chances are, someone had driven it hard and it might need costly repairs such as transmission work, rear end work, engine problems, etc. Thus, the vehicles depreciate fast. If vehicles such as Supras' and Z's didn't get discontinued, they'd drop fast as well.

How about a 325ci, sports package and the download, I can't see why anyone would want to go faster than this would allow you to brother, honestly it gets sort of scary, you can get around anything within a blink of an eye, handle is solid, you could do this for less than 34 g's, just a thought. peace

Thats what i have, and it really is a beautiful car. It is fast but what i love more than the speed is the handle. I have driven alot of cares and nothing handles like a BMW.

Good Luck buying a car is fun but also a little stressful if you make the wrong choice. So take your time.
