Nuts?

Are mixed nuts a bad idea as a snack while on a diet aimed at fat loss? I eat five small meals a day and only eat carbs in the first three meals which are at 8, 11, and 2. Sometimes I eat some mixed nuts as a snack in the early evening or late afternoon. Is this bad? Any help greatly appreciated.

That is fine, nuts contain a lot of EFA (essential fatty acids) which will help you on the road to fat-loss. Just remember that they are rich in calories, so watch the overall caloric intake and you'll be fine.

but take "natural" nuts

ie not those roasted in vegetable oil + salt
