IMO unemployment is for when you become unemployed by NO FAULT OF YOUR OWN, NOT when you flagrantly fucked up the job you ALREADY HAD.

Yeah - but she is still unemployed. As long as she is active in looking for new work, that is what you paid the unemployment taxes for.

That's cool that you are practicing already under you SC rules. Public interest lawyers get tons of good experience right away (very sink or swim).

It has been awesome.
In 3 months I have been through so much.
I prepped a trial a month ago. We settled the day of the trial - right before the jury came out.
I was kind of pissed, as I at least wanted to do my opening statement.
But my client got what she wanted, so that is what is important.
I'm learning a lot about effective ways to speak to judges.
It is amazing how attorneys' personalities change when they go before the judge.
