Is the word FAG the same as the word N*gger?

i guess the word fa88ot and ni88er can be seen as the same , just different groups are being targeted. these words run parrellel with wet8ack, chin8, sp88k, k8ke, w8p, spi8, qu88r, p88rchmonkey, kr8cker, h8nky, towelh88d, sandni88er,........there all offensive to someone. so we should refrain from using them.

does it make it politically correct when we purposely misspell offensive words even in a discussion. i guess we can only have this type of debate on chat boards.

Here's the funky rap. Just like NB pointed out earlier, blacks can call each other nigga, but if anybody outside of that uses nigger or nigga, they are looking for a throwdown.

same with faggot, gay men call each other that all the time, but when a straight person says it, it's immediately taken as a slur.

The connotation is the same, but yet each "group" has taken it as their own, and society has allowed them to use it amongst themselves, but use outside of that particular group is taboo.

When I call someone a fag, I don't mean that they possess the same qualities as homosexuals. "Fag" has always been a word I used that basically meant the same thing as punk, dork, nerd, dumbass, asshole, etc.

I also think that the word "fag" or "faggot" is commonly used in gay circles, as I have heard many members of the gay community use it. "Queen" is also a word commonly used by homosexuals. I don't see why any homosexuals would be offended by hearing a straight man called a fag if they themselves call each other fags.

What's weird is that I think that if a gay man heard me call a straight man a fag, he would be much less offended than if I called a gay guy a fag. Oh the irony.
