hey solid. cant really blame him for worrying, its a big step.

After all, he is gonna be sticking something into his body for the first time and will be injecting stuff into a muscle. The horror stories of infections is probably scaring him

Go for the glutes. Upper, outer area, on a slight angle down. If your clean you have a very good chance of being ok, like your doctor giving you a flu shot.

I think ill have an easier time injecting into the thigh..that way I can at least see what Im doing. I dont know how stable Ill be if I have to turn around and hold the needle backwards.

I pull with one needle and push with another, while you can reuse it I dont see a reason too, they are dirt cheap.

Another good thing to do is to draw back on the plunger after you stuck the needle in. If blood comes into the syringe you're in a vein. If that happens, push the plunger back down, pull the syringe back out a little, and reinject the needle into a different area. And if you do hit a vein don't worry, just apply pressure for a little while and it will clot off. Also, if you do inject in your thighs, be sure to inject on their lateral sides.
