well i got my application for school today and it seems i am going to have to explain any arrest or violation resulting in jail time, probation, or a fine of over $200 on a separate piece of paper! Which will then be looked over before admission.

WTF is that about. I look like your (goodlooking)average middle class 24 year old but on paper i look like a goddamn hardened criminal. I am going to apply anyway but with 5 felonies i really doubt I will be starting this fall.

You are really fucked if you get arrested for anything. That shit is going to haunt me the rest of my damn life.

A good friend of mine has ONE felony (drugs) and he is having a hell of a hard time with finding work, etc. He pretty much has to stay away from financial places etc.

he has moderate success because a lot of palces don;t check backgrounds - simply put, he lies when he can.

On paper with your record, you probably do look like a career criminal. If I were you, I would try to request an interview with an admissions rep, because as you said, you LOOK just fine. You are best served if their impression of you is your persoanl appearance and presentation of yourself, rather than on paper.

Finding work sucks too. Hell they even check backgrounds at clothes stores in the mall.

Having never been convicted of a crime, this has never been an issue for me. I may be wrong in saying this but who's to know if you simply omit that information on the application? Do schools do background checks on each applicant? That would seem to be very expensive.

BTW: What were the felonies. You're a bad boy yet I suddenly find you very exciting and mysterious.

I lied on my application andnever got caught. I later worked for the school I went to and found out they do not do background checks due to expense. Just say no on the app and youll be better off. bro if your getting caught for shit your probably not a very street smart criminal and shoutld walk the straight line. Good luck

I have a friend who was an X dealer. He was busted and went to jail for a year and half. Once out, he could not get into school so he lied on one application and got in. He is about to graduate from Cornell.

It said false information would result in automatic dismissal of all credits taken, blah, blah, blah... so i dont want to lie. I cant be the only felon at a campus of 25k.

Youre right about that. It is all from one case though. I had a growroom get raided cause a "friend" set me up with some undercover police. There is money in prohibition my friend! lots of money indeed, but you would be surprised how much you would give up for a good night sleep. So on to school...........maybe
