If you ended up in a survival situation....

I like girl scouts! Now what was the Q?

Oh yeah, most people have neither the know-how, nor carry, even the slightest resemblance to useful items with them. People die all the time in situations where they should have been fine. We have become so dependent on modern stuff that most have no "common sense" and couldn't build a fire if they had a match. On top of that, add an injury or weather. Most sheeple are doomed!

I've had quite a bit of survival training so it wouldn't be a problem for me. I'm seriously considering retiring from society and living off the land somewhere extremely remote.

Cheers,
Scotsman

I will do this once I have enough money in the bank account to fall back on in case it doesn't work out.

have you seen "Man vs. Wild"? similar show, but the guys name is Bear Grills or something like that and he brings a camera crew along with him. He's a bit melo-dramatic, but entertaining none the less.

I personally think that Bear guy is an idiot.

1st the pansy brings a crew with him. I wonder how much help he receives once the camera is off.

2nd He's constantly doing stupid stuff like cutting himself or falling down a cliff of jagged rocks.

3rd One she I was watching and he was climbing up a vine against a cliff. He was like "I don't know if I can make it" being all dramatic like you mentioned. Well the camera angle was from above showing him climbing up towards it. I was thinking "Well surely you can make it if the camera guy made it" lmao

Survivorman is much better.

Depends on the climate, availability of water and sustenance, equipment, mental and physical state.

Everyone likes to believe they're regular Mick Dundee's but survival situations usually occur when folk are ill prepared.

I bet a lot of these sissies posting in this thread has never even been camping for more than 2 days except for band camp or something.

One thing I like about the wilderness is your ego don't mean shit.

If it was a few days hike to get out of there all you juice monkeys are fucked for sure.
