well, i guess i'm an "idiot" also.......
when the temperature was b/t 55 and 75, THAT was ideal top down weather for me.
i had a P. O. S. fiat convertible for 3 years; enjoyed it more in the mild winters and short springs we have here in the big sleazy than in the traditional top down time of summer.
when the heat and humidity are in the mid 90's here, (june thru september) my automotive choice is a hard top with A/C!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obviously you don't drive a ragtop. I've driven vintage Brit sports cars all my life. Driving with the top down on the first 50-degree day is not about showing off. It's about the sensation. Do you think people should put away their motorcycles until the weather is warm enough for you too?
