I went over to the Training Board.... and I learned...

My current arm routine encorporates a triple drop on barbell curls, a double drop on standing alternating dumbell curls, and a triple drop on overhead cable curls. But I have made nice gains doing something similar to what you outlined above...except for an extra burn-out set with close-grip cable curls added in at the end.

Man if it works for you, fantastic......

But even with that intensity.....the growth would still plateau for me..........My body needs heavy weight.....with multiple sets to grow. And honestly, I like working out like this, if I wasn't going long and hard, I wouldn't get the sastisfaction I do now. 14 years and nothing has really changed since J.V. Football........it's all about hard and heavy with me..........:)

Someone garnering enough intensity to hit those arms to growth stimulating heights with only 5 sets WON'T be posting about it. Hell, they would be sitting home icing their arms down.

Or writing a best selling self help book:

If I'd grow more, I'd do set after set after set on my arms until it made me cry.....I built my back doing high-volume heavy workouts (back is my best bodypart)...it just doesn't seem to work for my biceps.

that most people on here are obsessed with cutting corners in their workouts. they are trying to finish quicker, do fewer sets, spend less time in the gym... etc...

There were several posts there on routines that had like 5-8 total bicep sets in them. Same for shoulders. WTF?

People around here getting scared to bust their asses in the gym now?

I've been working out for 25 years and I've tried all kinds of workouts. The one that works best for me is low sets and high intensity.

Thats what Ive been trying to tell them.

I'm sore after every single workout , on legs I'll do 4 working sets with two warm ups , on back one warm up and 4 working , every thing else less ,but I do pre-exhaust on every set (with exception of legs). Biceps and arms dont take a lot to grow , just heavy on everything and ur there.
