I went over to the Training Board.... and I learned...

Hell, I never work bi's directly......

I never go over 5 sets for anything, unless it's singles....

Guess I'm a pussy.........

i do one rest paused set per body part, DC training
2-4 warmup sets depending on the bodypart

after my work set, that body part is toast.

now don't get me wrong, i wasn't having trouble gaining on a volume routine, but i did plateau for a while, so i switched things up with the DC. now i've been doing it for 6 months and still making progress, and i'm only hitting the gym 3 days a week.

i just don't have time to be lifting 5-6 days a week anymore

there definitely isn't just one right way to accomplish your goals

nothin but a peanut :D

I change my routine every 6 weeks for shock...I can't really say I consistantly do that many sets...right now I'm only doing 3 heavy sets. Just got off of a diff. program.

that most people on here are obsessed with cutting corners in their workouts. they are trying to finish quicker, do fewer sets, spend less time in the gym... etc...

There were several posts there on routines that had like 5-8 total bicep sets in them. Same for shoulders. WTF?

People around here getting scared to bust their asses in the gym now?

Pffffttttt....Bodybuilders......

I get better gains doing 3 sets per muscle group than i did when i did 20... it's quality not quantity... and more importantly- what works for you.

Perhaps because you don't need more than 5-8 sets to grow. If I was "enhanced" I could get away with doing 20 sets for biceps and still grow as well. I however am not enhanced so I rely on intelligent training.

Nothing to do with it........

Recovery time does not rely on juice alone.........

I was sauced to the gills for many years........and still never did more or less than 12-15 sets for a bodypart........

Off of gear, my workouts are the same........the only difference I see is pump volume.......12 sets for major bodyparts.....15 for smaller ie: bi's, tri's etc......namely because of the multiple heads.....

If you honestly think that 5 sets is enough to grow, you are either dillusional or superhuman.......take your pick...... shit my chest and legs aren't even warm until the 5-6 set......

Take this with a grain of salt.......I mean I sure don't look like I know what I am talking about.

P.S. Nice post on the pitbull (dog) thread. :)
