i miss my sister :(

You are lucky that you have two sisters and you are close to them.
I don't have a sister and I wouly really loved to have one.
I have never understood this part of Americal culture that siblings are not close, and sometimes hate each other.

seriously, whats with the euro's on this board and their american bias bullshit. hey buddy, my wife is off the boat italian and guess what, 2 of her uncles havent spoken in over a decade and they are from the greatest, friendliest, richest, smartest, family closest continent in the world: europe. and her stepmom is from portugal, and her and her sister dont talk to their dad. and their european too. wow, has the american cultural phenomenon sp;read to europe?

i dont understand why europeans smell, and are hairy, and are stupid. why is the culture like this? doesnt that sound ridiculous? it should, people from anywhere could be all of those things. the level of arrogance and stupidity of people from europe really amazes me.

You could have saved your rant, because I am not European. I am an Asian living in America. I didn't add European culture because I don't know too much about European culture.

I was talking in general terms, i.e. what usually happens. In my culture, 'big brother' is a respectful world. Sisters are especially very close to brothers. I had a room mate whose brother-in-law died at 33. He was very effected by it; his elder brother asked me to take care of him because 'he has taken it very bad'. My room mate told me that his sister's children would come before his children ('my children may suffer but her's would not'). All 3 brothers treat their orphaned nephews and nieces as their own children.

There are always individual circumstances; my father never spoke with his elder brother. He told me that his brother refused to help him when he was in dire need. Still, he loved his nephews and nieces.

There are many great things about American culture and many wrong things about Asian cultures. But close extended families is probably the best part of Asian cultures.

Tell her to not be so sterotypical and date jerks.

My families thousands of miles away. Know the feeling. :(

yea, whatever, keep backpeddling. your post made explicit reference to american culture not respecting or caring for family. i love how cultures who cry and moan about stereotyping are the first to do it. save the bullshit. you made the crack, youre the jerkoff here. maybe, just maybe, instead of trying to hamstring americans as uncaring individuals with no sense of family, you should learn how to express yourself without insulting an entire culture. fucking asians, all theyre really good at is washing dishes and dry cleaning. pretty small minded comment huh? but i know asians who are really only good at one or the other. must mean you are all like that. im using your logic. its pretty good imo.
