I'm fuckin outta this bitch. A bad year in school and now this. I'm just some fuckin investment I guess. He's says the only way I can remain at my current school is if I pay for all expenses except tuiton. Way to do a 180 on me so fuckin soon. Well fuck that, I'm stayin in my university house, getting a job tomorrow, and I'm living on my own.

Fuckin 19 years old, fathers whose a god damn millionaire, and now its fucked. This should be fun.

HMM how does this one sound

Im 19 yrs old, Broke, Grew UP WITH NO Father, Grew up NOT a millionair. Grew up in a Small ass apartment in Queens, Paid for everyhthing on my own since HS.

How about you STFU with your whining. Grow up this is the real world Besides YOU FUCKED UP not him. Be mad AT YOURSELF FOR BLOWING such a good thing. I wish for one moment i would be a son of a millionair.

Not for nothing......what happens he loves you and wont completely abondaned you(unless hes a complete asshole).

If you need something you still got the security of of a "millionaire" daddy. Imagine Getting left to pay your own bills, and imagine if you couldnt pay them? hmmm

Well get your ass back on track for school its was prob the best thing for you was to get snapped back to reality.

Real world

lol at people that get a free ride and then complain when SOME of it is taken away. You should be happy you got a year paid for and that he's still willing to pay your tuition. That is WAY more than many people get. It will do you some good to have to work for it bro. I do agree with the suggestion of an incentive deal. Work something out where he'll pay for certain things based on your results. At least you have the option of getting some help if you perform. Most don't.
bluepeter is right. work something out with him. suck it up and do what you need to do. shit, not that big of a deal. try paying for the tuition too. you will end up better for it.

Its not so much that I'm pissed that I have to get a job and pay for housing and shit. Im okay with that. I'm just more pissed off at my dad and his attitude towards me. Like, he's grown to become very business minded, and now I am just merely another investment. He pulled a 180 in terms of our relationship, and because it happened so suddenly, I'm pissed.

I never lived wealthy my whole life, infact, it wasnt till more recently. Generally speaking, I lived my life alot more poor than other people and eventually my dad pulled his socks up. But thats not the point.

I did some thinking about it last night, and I can see how this will do me some good. A lot of good for that matter. It will add a new element to the game. For, if I choose to fuck up twice this time round, I'll be blowing my own my money. So the whole point behind this excersise is appreciation, and I can appreciate it already.

Some of you have a point in saying shut the fuck up and suck it up. But like I said, its not so much the money issue I'm pissed about, its my dads sudden change towards me.

But, do you guys think I should stick with my current school? Like, how much does a good undergrad school really matter? My friend was telling me that the school really only matters for grad...and it does. I just cant see why it wouldnt be both. Can anyone care to explain?

Thanks guys, I appreaciate the input.

Your dad just did you the greatest favor you will ever get and some day you will thank him. You fucked up, you're an adult now, grow up, buck up, shut the fuck up, show up and get a J. O. B.

Show him you can be responsible because he feels that he just wasted a huge chunk of change on an ungrateful son. From where I'm sitting he is right at the moment.

Uh, in my opinion it wasnt as bad as it could have been. But I failed 1 course and got 1 50 and the rest 60's.

Holy shit man!! Go to a different college as a new student and dont transfer those credits, like it never happened.
Dont estimate the importance of a good reputation of the University you graduate from, people will ask you all the time where you went to school.

It depends on how great a school it is... why not just say the name?

But yes, it does matter. I am not saying great people may not come out of inferior schools. cause they do. hell, some great people don't even go to school. if you are one of them it won't matter. But for the rest, it does make a difference. it may matter where you do the first two years, but where you get your diploma from certainly makes a difference. people do look at you differently because of it, whether you think that is fair or not. it will make a difference when they are evaluating your grad school applications. and it will make a difference when you are applying for jobs.

I go to Queen's University in Canada. He wants me to transfer to Trent University also in Canada...in our home town. Not sure if you guys are familiar with them or not. But basically, here its known that trent is uber crap for sciences. Queens is one of the better schools in the Country. Top 3 I would say.
