I hear ya, its a long ways off, just keep your grades good so that when the time comes you have that option of going to med school. Biochem is a great major to have if you want a career in medicine, but you also have to balance it with having a fun time as well. Dont know what to tell ya, just hang in there, maybe he'll come around, maybe not, but dont relent and go to a shitty school, you'll regret it the rest of your life. It would change the course of your entire life.

my friend says that it doesnt matter what undgrad school you go to though.

That sucks man, but dont think that great things will come from it. They always say shit like this "builds character" and there's a lot of truth to that.

I cant really talk though - my parents got my tuition 100%, my housing, my food, my car insurance all 100%...

I just got a job cause I feel bad that they pay for EVERYTHING.

That is WAY more than many people get. It will do you some good to have to work for it bro. I do agree with the suggestion of an incentive deal. Work something out where he'll pay for certain things based on your results. At least you have the option of getting some help if you perform. Most don't.
