Not sub 9, but there isn't a person on this board that has ever ridden a sub 9 second bike PERIOD, and if anyone says they have they are a blatant liar. I would also go as far to say that 90% of the people on this thread don't ride, they just regurgitate info they read on Jap Bike boards, or Cycle World. Crak, I know you ride, but you admitted yourself it's a 600. As far as flaming goes, and any response that HS Lifter has to add, go talk your smack on the playground, I have been building/racing bikes for over 20 years, raced motorcross for 7, and being a car dealer, I have owned most every bike under the sun, from the new 04' R1, to Ducs, to my personal fav's, bikes that I build. I support my claims of smoking any jap bike non-turboed, by doing just that. If I put twin turbos on built 145" motor, I would also have to install wings, as the son of a bitch would no longer stay on the ground. Turbo Busa, Turbo Smusa.......I had a GSXR 1300 when HS Lifter was in shortpants.....nice bike, big deal, still not nearly as fast out of the hole as any 145" big twin. Put turbos on it, and then turbos on my bike, and, well, I don't know the answer as it has never been done. Nothing against jap bikes or the people that ride them, but this constant misinformation that because it's japanese and under 400 lbs. means it's faster, has got to stop.
