Bearded snatch? Is that from the same family of bearded clams?

Proto, those would be hang power snatches that I've been doing. And dips are functional, lol, the 20 reps is because I was too lazy to strap weight, next week I'll weight them.

Overall a decent workout, I have been close-grip benching, so I expect the bench numbers to take big jumps, at least I hope they do, lol.

I have been busy with lots of things, some personal stuff and all, and my eating suffered, I probably only ate 3000-3500 cals the last 3 days, went out to eat a lot out of necessity, I tried to junk it up a little to add cals (french onion soup, fries, desserts), but the total cals were too low for about 3 days, I ended up weighing 238 today (was 243-244 the middle of last week).

From your posts- doesn't look like the decrease in calories affected your training too much. Nice Lifts, T :)

Re- personal stuff and salts, sweets, desserts. It made me smile - you almost sound like you should be over in the women's forum with us ladies. Hope everything is ok, though!

Today Mon. 6/19/06

Power Clean: 45 and 135 by a lot of warm-ups, 185x1, 225x1, 255x1, 275x1, 295x1, 305x1, 315x1, 320xmiss, 320x1, 5 triples at 265 (these were ok, I was happy with the 320, all the thinner olympic bars I like to use for these were taken, so I had to use a Texas Power Bar with shitty whip, I didn't notice it too bad until the sets over 300, the first miss at 320 was because I didn't catch the bar in my rack, it was a little lower than my front delts and it kind of rolled off, could be timing issues from using a less than ideal bar....or I could have just missed.....the triples were more tiring than I thought they'd be and I flirted with the idea of making them 3x3, but then that little voice said don't be a pussy)

Back Squat: 135x10, 225x10, 315x5, 365x5, 405x5, 415x5, 425x5, 365x8. These went well, the 5th rep at 425 was a little bit slow, but not a grinder or anything, I am thinking one more week of 5's and then I want to do some heavier triples or doubles.

Good Morning: 185x8, 225x5, 245x5, 265x5 These were easy, for some reason the 1st rep on all of my GMs feels like death, then I get into a nice grrove and they feel great.

Got back to my normal eating, drank 3/4 of a gallon of milk.
 
ive noticed that some guys in vids and what not will start their clean with a standard grip but by the time they catch and groove it for the press/jerk the only have three fingers holding the bar...u do this?
 
Not a single one of those exercises is good for inner chest or biceps. You need to get Arnold's Encyclopedia of BB'ing. it's really good and has routines in it.
 
3/4 of a gallon of milk ... I wonder if you're that genetic freak who could actually drink a gallon in an hour. They say it's not possible. And with my family background (in the business) I've seen many try and many puke...

I start out hook-gripping of course, then I release it when I catch, I'd say 90% of the time I can maintain my grip, sometimes the pinkies will slip off, it is okay though, as long as the elbows are high and the bar is firmly racked.
 
WW, I can drink a quart in about 5 minutes, lol, but then I usually don't feel too hot, so a gallon in an hour would be tough.....MM107, if you drink a gallon of milk in an hour and video it with a timer and all, I will donate all of my karma to you, for real.
