Fast Workouts ???

I work at a gym on the weekends and 2 weeks ago there was a guy in there from around 5 am to 10:30 am. This guy is in good shape and is in there almost everyday. He is usually in there a good 2 to 3 hours and all he does is lift, no cardio what so ever. I just don't understand some people and why they feel they have to lift hours upon hours to look good. Than there is this guy at the gym I go to and he is in there for around 3 hours a day. This guy is a nut and is basically a skinny fat guy. He does at least 2 hours of psychotic cardio everyday along with some weird ass excuse for trying to lift weights. I know this guy just goes home and eats cakes and doughnuts non stop because he is a cardio freak and is still fat. I once saw him leave the gym and sit outside after one of his marathon workouts and guess what he pulls out of his gym bag? A 1 liter of fucking Pepsi and it wasn't diet. :confused:
 
75 minutes is a fast workout??? 30-45 minutes for me always, and thats with 80 second rest periods. Work a split if you have too, keep it under an hour!
 
45 min- 1 hour for me also, unless I have a partner then I add a half an hour. So I think you are fine. In and out, bang bang

I gotta Post I usualy don't but man I gotta vent on this topic.

I have a friend I have know for years he's about 3yrs younger than me which is not the issue I think the issue stems from lack of knowledge but I preach to him religously about not working out soooo fucking long and how counter productive it is.. Just an ex. of his workout 45min of Cardio then 45 min weight training, then 45 min cardio again.. now this is the gatcha he and my girl do thier one cardio session to gether and he was telling her man, your man is only training 45min a day and look at him its because all the gear & GH he uses man he's lucky with that lazy man work out.. Well another example of his so called diet routine. 1 large meal at lets say 12:00 around lunch time just skip breakfast all together.. and when I say a large meal I mean a super large meal I mean fucking 3 to 4 burgers and 4 fries and a large drink or maybe a Super Helping of Mexican food we all know how heatlh that ranks. anyways back to my story around 1:00am he will have his second meal after going out and partying.. keep in mind their were zero meals inbetween lunch and the 1 o'clock am meal this I do not even freaking understand.. anyway he then has the nerve to tell me he does not know why his gaining weight I'm like dude is it not obvious.. These type of guys realy believe more is better not realizing their genetics suck and that pounding the living shit out of them selves is not helping.. The worse part is if I stand next to him I'm like 100 % more cut and ripped and I eat like a freaking horse and workout like a lazy ass for 45min a day.. go figure.. I need help with this guy any suggestions.
 
I am in my mid 30's and it took me a while to figure this out.....u will not grow if u over train.....I have seen great results by working out 45 min to an hour.

ignore him, he's a playa-hata and not worth the trouble. You already stated in your post that you know you have the edge on him, so why worry about it even further.
 
45 - 55 minutes of solid lifting...

Better to get in there... get pissed off... lift heavy and in good form, then get the hell out, eat, and sleep... I could do a marathon 2 hour stint of 16 rep weights lifting 10, but that is not only a waste of my time, but energy as well...
