CHECK this its why ive grown so much without any protein powder

i did the same thing by avoiding protein shakes for my last cycle and i made some great gains. i really think the whole supplement industry is a scam. i don't even want to think how much $$$ i've wasted on that shit in the past. i'm convinced that nothing can beat real red meat for gains.

I have always thought you had to get most of your protein from real food, which is a lot of work

I'd love to eat more fresh salmon and other fish but it's just too damn expensive for me right now.

are there any secrets or real intelligent ways you guys have managed to figure out how to not spend a FORTUNE on all this red meat and fish? what kinds of cuts and how big are the portions and where do you buy all this meat? what has been the most cost effective strategy YOU have come up with in buying this much meat per week?

I buy whole turkeys for .50/lb.
I remove all skin and fat before baking.
I'll get about 6lbs of actual meat from an 18lb turkey, which is still only $1.50/lb, half the price of red meat and chicken.
I usually eat 1.5lb of turkey and 8oz of red meat everyday.
I keep my protions to 8oz, which means 4 whole food meals/day.
 
oly time ill drink a shake is Post workout sometimes in the morning but ill only use whey isolate and not replacing a meal with it just bridging congrats on your success
 
Chicken is the cheapest. Lean Beef is what i'm eating atm... Been off shakes for quite a while, but now its;
bfast: 3 whole eggs, 2 pieces of Deli Turkey + 1/2 cup spinich (Omlet)
2x meals: 6oz Lean Beef + 1/2 cup brocoli + 1/2 cup green beans
after dinner: 2 whole eggs in omlet with turkey and spinich

Snacks are Havarti Cheese (30g).

Eat every 3hrs, if i'm not eating, 5g BCAA's + snake shortly after.

Thats my diet. In 3 months i'm bulking :chomp:
 
Maybe it is because you are getting in more cals than you did with the shakes. More cals=big mf.

not an option here. cant get the foods I need so I had to replace them with shakes. 10 lb bag of protein and a jug of complex carbs. I add them as i need them. I am also using cytogainer and Syntha 6. I have made some natural gains so far. Let ya know about the "unnatural" real soon. I would prefer to take in more real food but I think my gains come from the increased cals.
