Seeing as how I was a forward observer 13Fa, (mainly CAS by way of worthogs and 155mm artillery) I would have to say that when it comes to just dropping gps or radio controlled bombs it still doesn't matter who does it, it is not as easy as it sounds. And between the two I would have to say the Americans, not because I was one, but because we have the best training programs and the most first hand experience in real combat. Other than that fact it really depends on the individual. If they were both trained the same with the same equipment and so on, it would be a toss up. by the way, WHO CARES!! It's not who is better anyway. Why should we care who is the best. The best is the country who can make a situation peacefully resolved through diplomacy rather than through violence. That's what the REAL question should be. What country is the best at resolving conflict without any bloodshed. I ask everyone to answer THAT question.

Retarded question to ask on a yankee web site!
come to a CFB and find out for yourself.

These are some examples of the fight in Afghanistan.. These video shots are not made through the shooter's telescopic sight... they are made looking through the spotter's scope. The spotter lies right next to the sniper and helps the sniper to find and home in on the target.

The sniper is using a 50 caliber rifle. A 50 cal. round is about 7-8 inches long and the casing is about an inch in diameter. The bullet itself is one-half inch in diameter and roughly one and one-half inches long.

Pay close attention to the beginning of the video. A Taliban is lying on top of the peak in front of you... when you hear the shot fired.... watch what happens. The sniper is also about a half mile away... or more.

A Canadian sniper in Afghanistan has been confirmed as hitting an enemy soldier at a range of 2,310 meters, the longest recorded and confirmed sniper shot in history. The previous record of 2,250 meters was set by US Marine sniper Carlos Hathcock in Vietnam in 1967. The Canadian sniper was at an altitude of 8,500 feet and the target, across a valley, was at 9,000 feet. Canadian sniper units often operated in support of US infantry units, which were grateful for their help. The record lasted only one day, until a second Canadian sniper hit an enemy soldier at 2,400 meters (8000 feet).

The Canadian snipers fire special .50-calibre McMillan tactical rifles, which are bolt-action weapons with five-round magazines. The Canadian snipers were the only Canadian troops operating without hel mets or flak jackets as they had too much other equipment to carry. Each three-man team has one sniper rifle, three standard rifles (Canadian C7s), one of them with a 203mm grenade launcher.

WARNING!! Flying Body Parts!!! Sniper Video

The average Canadian grunt is superior to the average American grunt...believe it or not, our basic infantrymen are better trained.

Having spent 22 years in the Army and working with the Americans many times, I would have to agree.
Vietnam ruined the American military, but they have gotten better and continue to improve.
The Canadians make superior peacekeepers, which is known worldwide and now Afghanistan is showing that we’re not just good at that.
Like anything else, I’ve worked with good Americans and poor Americans (and Canadians, for that matter).

wow really ,you people really think American soldiers are better trained?, they may have more money, more equipment, more war machines, more weapons in general, but one thing Americans don't have is good soldiers, Canadian soldiers actually have to fight their way out of situations as Americans just call in air support when ever they get in A little trouble. come on people your talking about a country that was born to retreat since the birth of their nation compared to Canadians who since birth had to fight for their victories up close and personnel. to conclude get real Americans your bomb droppers and that's it. PS..you don't even do that right and that's your trade mark.

No, your just stupid. We don't call in Air support because it's "Oh so cool and pretty lights"

We call in air support to avoid our own casualties. That's like saying you expect a squad of 20 men to take out 3 buildings that are 15 stories high that have 40 men in each of them. Air support isn't a puss move idiot. If you knew anything about war you would find that the Air support is the deadliest most expensive force in the world. Espescially when it comes to the U.S

Also, Did we retreat when we went off to fight WWI? No. WWII? Did we retreat? No. The korean war? That wasn't even our war and we fought it. Same with Vietnam. Oh p.s to your border customs officers; Don't just ask me if I have a gun/beer/smokes and take my word for it. At least ask me for my passport.:artist:
