Im heading down there Friday May 3rd, for a wedding on Saturday May 4th, im pretty sure Columbia, South Carolina, i got no plans Friday night, wondered whats a good club and if any of you peeps are in the area?

Yep, I'm in Columbia.

If you want the young college crowd, try the area called "five points", That's where most of the college kids go. Lots of clubs and resturants.

If you want to go with an older crowd, there is the area called the "vista", it tends to be geared more towards the young professionals in the area. Afew clubs, but some nice resturants.

This weekend it is supposed to be in the 70's, by May 3, it will be in the mid 80's.

I'm not too far from Columbia but the weather has been nice and warm and a little cool in the evenings(50's). Thunderstorms lately though! I hope not for awhile. By May, should be pretty nice and warm.

Hi, I lived in Columbia for over 3 years when I was in the Air Force at Shaw AFB. "5 points" is cool. Many different bars and restaurants, near the college etc. Hey "BIG4LIFE" is "Rockefeller's" still there and still good? If so thats a good place for live bands. Hootie and the Blowfish are from columbia and used to always play there before getting signed.

Nope "Rockerfella's" is gone. That is one thing this area lacks, clubs that have live music.

Ok "BIG", appreciate the response bro. Yeah we used to go there alot. Not a big or classy place but like you said not many other options for live music. They had alot of great bands and shows come through there. I really liked Columbia.
