As it was posted on another thread by Velvett, telemarketers will soon have access to everybody's cell phone number.
That means that you will be annoyed and called non-stop the same way you now are on your regular land-based line telephone.
So why does this suck even more than the usual telemarketing calls?
Because on your cell phone (AT LEAST MINE, ANYWAYS), you get charged minutes---EVEN IF IT IS SOMEBODY ELSE WHO IS CALLING YOU!
So that means if I get like 30 calls I month, I will get charged 30 additional minutes on my cell phone plan, even if I hang up on these telemarketers within the first minute of them calling me.
SO WHAT ARE MY CHOICES?:
1. Call the national do not call cell phone list, or
2. GET CHARGED TONS OF MINUTES ON MY CELL PHONE PLAN FROM TELEMARKETERS CALLING ME NON-STOP!
Don't these people have any consideration for the cost that they will be bringing to cell phone users?
