Do you really think 10 years old is old enough to develop lifelong moral values?

10 years old is old enough to know that beating a man to death is wrong.

I'll ask it: what was the racial makeup of the mob? How about economic background? anyone know?

The victim was black. I don't know about the kids, though.

Let me guess, its society's fault that this child helped kill a man right? I guarantee this kid's parents are crack addicts, considering most of these children just "hang out" and aren't even in school....I wish that was my kid, I'd beat his ass!

The guy did punch out a 14 year old, so although I don't agree with what they did to him, I can see why it happened.

Shitty situation though. I think all thier paretns should be held accountable.

Yeah but I can see these kids doing many other things leading up to that to provoke the guy. There we're two people interviewd that said these kids tried to start shit with them. It's like their intention was to get someone to throw the first punch, then go after him like a angry mob..Kill 'em.

Vermont is one of the most permissive states concerning concealed weapons. and guess what ? they're the 49th state for crime rate. I could give you the example of Chicago, Washington. Once they abolished the irght for handguns, look what happened.

True.

I really don't think that a kid like that can be rehabilitated. If he beats people to near death at the age of 10, one can only imagine what kind of shit this kid would progress to later on.
I think the 10 year old can be helped. But it will take many years for sure. He found love and acceptance in his group, which he probably didn't get much of at home. It all really does start at home. I'm not blaming his parents only. It has alot to do with the media and what's "cool". I feel so bad for the man they beat.
