why were some of the kids carrying crates? what kind of weapon is a crate? i get a visual of kids walking around with wooden, slatted boxes that were used to transport bananas or something and then smashing it over the guy's head. doesn't sound all that effective. "here i'm going to throw this big crate at you. please stand still."

That's because both are related to how hot it is. Heat increases arousal (not sexual; just emotional state) and results in a sharply increased rate of violent crimes.

When it's hot enough to get aggitated, it's hot enough to buy ice cream, go figure.

Kinda like the way guys who've been married awhile tend to be bald. Figure that one out.
