I do not have exact numbers, but there is a sizable French-Canadian majority. Next in line would be the Anglophone (English-speaking) minority. There are large numbers of immigrant groups (consisting of first and later generations) including the Italians, Greeks, Haitian, Arab, and East-Indian. There is also a large Jewish community. The main religion in Montreal is Roman Catholic followed by Protestants.
The language breakdown is roughly 65%-70% Francophone (or French as their mother tongue), 20-25% Anglophone and the the rest are Alophones (or a primary language other than French or English).
