CA was the 10th largest economy in the world- the illegals didn't cause its demise. I have worked for "illegals" who were paying off their state taxes, medical bills, etc. What articles are you reading? Most "illegals" are paying taxes.

Regardless, the fact that CA has a large labor pool ready to take on the crap jobs for minimal pay really has nothing to do with the fact that the upper executives of the state did a crap job of predicting the crash of the economy and were throwing money around like confetti for the last half decade. Smart planning right there, sure the illegals told them to do it.

Well the fact that an illegal alien gets a full in-state subsidy to go to college whereas a Washington state, Oregon or Nevada student pays full price is a decent start. The dollar figure doesn't explain the shortfall, but it is indicative of a broader problem.

Also, think about the healthcare, educational and social services costs. A lot of these illegals are employed illegally. That means cash payments (pronounced "catch"). Those won't have ordinary witholdings taken out of them.

Wanna explain to the crowd why hospitals in predominately illegal areas are BANKRUPT.

Who do you think pays for the hospital's revenue? Banners? Advertising? Car Washes?

Look up where California's money goes to (hint: SOCIAL services). Not this made-up theory of throwing money around like confetti (whatever that means).

My Way News - Calif. tax refunds to be delayed starting Feb. 1

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - California's controller says he will begin a 30-day delay on tax refunds and other payments starting Feb. 1 because the state is running out of money.

Controller John Chiang said Friday he must delay $3.7 billion in payments next month because lawmakers have failed to address California's growing deficit.

With a $41.6 billion shortfall over the next year-and-a-half, the state is on the brink of issuing IOUs.

Chiang says his office must continue education and debt payments but will defer money for tax refunds, student aid, social services and mental health programs.

A severe drop in revenue has left the state's main bank account depleted. The state had been relying on borrowing from special funds and Wall Street investors; those options are no longer available.

Cali is going through a huge realestate mess. Houses sitting empty no one paying property taxes, banks cant sell um and not many people want them.
Just read on yahoo cali is estimated to lose 160,000 jobs next year and exp the same packing up and leaving of people as in the early 90's during that recession.
