I'm anal about sanitizing to the best of my ability, but I have friends who never use anything or aspirate or anything. Big fuckin guys with tons of experience too. My one buddy would just shoot right after a workout before a shower or anything and has never had an issue. To me it seems like a problem waiting to happen and it takes like 2 cents and 30 seconds to give me some peace of mind and wipe everything down. I usually even lay my stuff out on a clean piece of toilet paper or towel and wipe the area down with alcohol first. Always better safe than sorry.

my whole ass cheek is so fuckin swollen...i guess ive just been shooting in the same place to long....long story short ive been getting fevers outta no where that go up to 103 for the last 3 days or so.....ill pop a few tylenols and it goes down....my ass started getting more and more sore....well today i stuck a needle right in the abscess and actually drained 3 ccs of straight puss in the syringe....i went to the hospital tonight they gave me a real strong antiobiotic and the doctors face like dropped when i told him i drained some of it myself....i came up with the roger clemens excuse and told him i do vitamin b12 injections and the indian is starin at me smilin for like 2 minutes straight....finally i was like alrite look at the damn size of me you know what i do....my cheek is still sore it feels like the soreness is moving over towards my crack...hopefully this antibiotic will kill this infection cause i cant take these damn fevers anymore...by the way its just a fever i can still eat theres no nausea no diarhea etc....anyone ever get an abcess before? share your experiences if you have thanks....does it necessarily mean the gear is dirty? i wont lie i havent been using rubbing alcholol on my skin before every shot, lately ive just been jabbin the needle in and shootin so hopefully thats the reason

Rules for injecting:

1) wash hands
2) swab the top of the vial with an alcohol pad
3) swab the injection site with an alcohol pad (a new one)
4) remove the gear from the vial and make sure the tip of the needs doesn't touch anything
5) inject needle in area
6) aspirate and look for blood
7) if no blood enters the syringe inject into body
8) wipe inject area again with alcohol swab and cover with band aid or other sterile bandage

Injecting the area without swiping the area with an alcohol pad is insanity.

You Forgot to add, rotate injection sites, to keep from sticking in one area too much,as this builds up scar tissue!

still gettin a fever i went to the hospital last nite they pretty much butchered my ass cheek and stuffed it...im on 3 antibiotics now its only been for a day...the swelling in my ass went down i can tell im just fuckin scared...im goin to pull the packing out 2morrow and see how it looks i mite have to go back and get it packed again....this thing is sliced open so big i probably am not goin to be able to train legs for at least a month...i had the best gains this yr too and this is like ruining my fucking life.....i read up on some horror stories about abcesses and im honestly just fuckin scared as hell...i started a new ug lab gear recently and im wondering if that has anything to do with it...everywhere else i shot is fine so i think its this fuckin abcess it prolly has another 20 ccs of puss to drain...i fuckin drained 4 ccs out myself before i even went to the doctor....hospitals just scare the fuckin shit outta me i honestly would rather stick a needle in this cut and drain it out myself

Let the doctors do what they need to bro...if they tell you to do something, do it...if they tell you to come back...do it...your life aint worth fucking around with even if you hate hospitals just do what you need to do..103 fever is nothing to fuck with especially with all the gear your on, its tremedous strain on your body. i took the packing out, the swelling went down...i just have a big fucking hole in my ass cheek it sucks....i covered it up in bandages so it can still drain some more....im goin to start usin butterfly bandages so it will close up and not scar real bad...no fevers yet today so hopefully this shit is gonna go away...been outta the gym for like 5 days now and its literally killing me lol its the longest break i took in 6 yrs...oh well u live and learn..i think i just shot to many ccs in this ass cheek and it got all crystalized.....i shot this ug gear in other places and had no problems so i have no idea if its the gear or not

I had an abcess once on my right delt.Wife is a nurse and all injections were perfectly done.Shooting too many cc's of 50mg eq got me.Went to my doc who knows his shit and he drained 5 cc's of infection out with a harpoon needle and put me on 14 days of anti biotics.Cleared right up,I really dodged a bullet from being sliced on.
Keep your head up Air, it will get better. Follow the docs advice.
